Software Developer

Malta Information Technology Agency is currently looking to recruit a Software Developer to join their team on a full-time basis.

Overview:
The Digital Enabling Services Department is responsible for building those shared services that will enable the digital transformation of Government. Our portfolio includes the electronic Identity system, the eIDAS Node, the Single Digital Gateway, the EBSI Node, the Person Register and the Address Register. We are simultaneously doing service management with the highest level of discipline, and leading projects with cutting-edge methods and technology to achieve transformation.

To sustain our efforts to pursue these initiatives we regularly seek to recruit individuals who are starting their careers in ICT and who wish to provide a meaningful contribution while gaining experience in an environment with exposure to cutting-edge projects and technologies. Our vacancy at the Software Developer level encompasses various disciplines. You could be engaged in a DevOps kind of environment, perform quality assurance within a supplier management framework, or else assist in data management.

The successful candidates will be expected to hold either of the following set of qualifications and/or experience:

1. An ICT-related qualification (MQF level 5) or higher, in which case experience is not necessary, OR 
2. An ICT-related qualification (MQF level 4) together with one year of experience in a related area; OR 
3. Two years experience in an ICT-related area.

Any students may be offered an employment opportunity subject to the provision of final results.

Candidates’ qualifications, experience and competencies will be assessed in line with the Agency’s Career Progression framework. Successful candidates may be engaged at either the Associate level – Career Level 2, the standard level – Career Level 3 or the Senior level – Career Level 4.
